Model answer
A chart in Excel is a visual graph of worksheet numbers, making trends and comparisons instantly clear for reports. Select data → Insert → Charts.
Types:
- Column/Bar — Compares values across categories. Example: monthly FIR counts per station. Best for exam-result comparison.
- Line — Shows trend over time. Example: internet users 2075–2080 rising steadily.
- Pie/Doughnut — Shows share of whole (100%). Example: budget split — salary 50%, fuel 30%, other 20%. Use few slices only.
- Area — Like line but filled, emphasizes volume over time.
- X-Y Scatter — Relationship between two variables. Example: study hours vs marks.
Choose by question: comparison = column, trend = line, share = pie. Add title, axis labels and data labels for full marks.
