Classification based on size and capability:

- Mainframe Computer — Large, powerful. Used by banks, airlines for bulk data processing. Example: IBM Z Series.
- Minicomputer — Medium-sized, multi-user. Used in small organizations. Example: PDP-11.
- Microcomputer — Personal-use, single-user. Example: Desktop PC, Laptop, Tablet.
