What is cyber security? Explain any four types of cyber threats.

Cyber Security is the practice of protecting systems, networks, programs, and data from digital attacks, unauthorized access, damage, or theft.

Four types of cyber threats:

1. Malware — Malicious software including viruses, worms, trojans, and ransomware designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems.
2. Phishing — Fraudulent attempts to obtain sensitive information (passwords, credit card details) by disguising as a trustworthy entity via email or websites.
3. Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) — Attacks that overwhelm a server or network with excessive traffic, making it unavailable to legitimate users.
4. Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) — Attackers secretly intercept and alter communication between two parties who believe they are communicating directly.
