The Government Integrated Data Center (GIDC) under NITC is Nepal's central hosting and disaster-recovery hub for e-governance, avoiding each office running unsafe server rooms.

Major services:

1. Hosting and colocation — Secure space for ministry websites, email and apps with power/cooling/security.
2. Cloud/VM service — On-demand servers and storage for new portals without buying hardware.
3. Email and DNS — Official gov.np mail and domain management.
4. Backup and disaster recovery — Regular backups and alternate site for continuity after failure.
5. Network and security — Connectivity, firewall, monitoring via SoC; enforcement of GEA and Website Directive standards.
