Steps to Create Table of Contents (TOC) in MS Word:

  1. Apply Heading Styles: Format document headings using built-in heading styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3) under the Home tab.
  2. Position Cursor: Click at the beginning of the document where the TOC should appear.
  3. Insert TOC: Go to the References tab on the Ribbon.
  4. Select Style: Click Table of Contents and choose an Automatic Table layout.

Concept of Macro: A Macro is a series of recorded commands, keystrokes, and instructions grouped together as a single command to automate repetitive formatting or editing tasks. In MS Word, macros are created using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or by using the built-in Record Macro button on the View or Developer tab.
